-
- I don't think they could stop us from writing something very similar to
- DOOM, but there could possibly be problems with using their WAD file format.
-
- The US laws can be pretty strange sometimes...

- That list will of course have to be updated. ;-)

- Actually, Jake Hill has replied to email before. It's just my request that
- he should loosen up the C++ source distribution requirement that hasn't been
- answered. I'll try again soon.

- Are we really sure about that?
- I think it would actually be a very good idea to include a totally free
- WAD _and_ some separate textures and graphics/sounds to use with it.
- Then BAD MOOD can be claimed to just "happen" to be DOOM compatible. ;-)

-
- We should mention that we have many ideas for extensions and that gameplay
- is likely to be quite a bit different from DOOM.
-

-
- I think we should say, 'We'd like to include...'.

-
- I don't really like that statement. IMO it's implying that people would
- think of doing such a thing, which we shouldn't really have to worry about.
-
- > We would be interested in specifications about Doom network protocol

-
- It most definitely will. DOOM relies on the exact same AI calculations
- taking place on every machine. There's no point in asking for this.
-

-
- Back when the original email was sent, there wasn't really anything to
- be proud of yet. I do think this kind of letter should have a tone similar
- to what we wrote, but that's just IMHO (which might change).
